Adomah seems set to leave Underhill just months after joining the Bees in January from Harrow Borough. Barnet have transfer listed him after he submitted a written request.

Adomah, who has been the subject of transfer gossip in the national press, has caught the eye of Championship clubs and Premiership clubs during his short stay at Underhill.

Barnet were prepared to make Albert an improved offer, however, Adomah has made it clear he wants to leave.

In an statement on the clubs official website, club spokesperson Dennis Signy said ‘Let me make it quite clear that this is not something that Barnet FC wanted. We were hoping that Albert would fulfill his contract and help the Bees in the planned push for promotion next season.

‘Albert is an exciting young player who has made an impact from Day One at the end of January when he made a fairytale Football League debut away to Hereford United and scored.

‘He has intimated that he wants to leave and, as the chairman and the manager have made it clear that we don’t have to sell players, he then put in a written transfer request.

‘He remains a Barnet player, but if the right deal is offered to us and the deal is also right for Albert he will go with our best wishes.’

This is a big blow to the Bees playoff ambitions next season, and the Barnet faithful are sure to be disappointed at this news.

This news comes just days after Vital Barnet reported that Sunderland and Wolves were locked in a bidding war to secure his services.
