Barnet legend Ian Hendon has extended his association with the club by signing a new and improved 2 year contract as assistant manager – a role he began last summer after 4 years as the inspirational captain who lifted the Conference title.

This move will also increase the general feeling that Ian is likely to become Barnet manager when current boss Paul Fairclough leaves the club.

On signing the new deal, Ian declared that the squad’s target for next season was a play-off place ‘at least’.

If Ian can help bring in players of the quality of Josh Wright as he did last season, this dream could well become a reality.
