Last season the Bees saw several players leave to play at higher levels and we take a look at how they got on this season.
Nicky Bailey
Nicky Bailey has established himself as a key player during the Blues playoff charge. He played a part in every league game for Southend, scoring 10 goals. He won Player of the Year in his first season with Southend United, his second in a row after winning it with Barnet in the previous season.
Simon King
Simon King left after rejecting a new deal at Underhill and Gillingham was his destination. He played in 42 league games for the Gills. He was voted Players’ Player of the Year by his fellow squad members. His season ended in heartbreak after relegation from League One to League Two.
Dean Sinclair
‘Deano’ has suffered a difficult start to life in the Championship and has made just two appearances for Charlton this season. He was loaned out to League One club Cheltenham Town but suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury and has since been building up fitness in the reserve side.
