Transfer-listed Anthony Charles has rejoined former club Aldershot Town on loan until the end of the season.
The central defender goes out to the Nationwide Conference club, who are 9th in the league, to get some first-team action which he is not expecting to get with the Bees thanks to the central defensive partnership of Simon King and Ismail Yakubu.
The 25-year-old made 27 appearances for the Shots when he was with them for the 2002/03 season a couple of years before joining Barnet for £13,000. He was voted last season’s most improved player of the year but has failed to hold down a first-team shot this season, making just one appearance. It was agreed at the beginning of the annual year between the player and Paul Fairclough to put him on the transfer list. But since the transfer window has closed, he can only go out on loan.
Will you recall him in view of Yakubu’s injury or do you not have that option?
would be the shortest ever loan spell – 3 days – if we recalled him!
