Fears over the injury picked up by Ismail Yakubu have been dispelled, and he should be fit to continue to skipper the side against Rotherham on Saturday.

Yakubu was forced off in the latter stages against Chesterfield after picking up a knock, but physio Mark Stein has confirmed he will only feel the effects for a few days, and should be ready to take his place in Barnet’s next league game.

Stein told Barnet’s website: ‘He got a bang on the calf but looks to be OK for this weekend’ as Barnet look to continue their unbeaten four-game run and pick what would be important wins against Rotherham, and then Wycombe on Tuesday, both of which are being played at Underhill.

Two wins would take the Barnet up to 15 points and surely in the top-7 and would mean 14 points from a possible 18, but as we all know, it’s never that simple with Barnet and there’s sure to be more to talk about, good or bad, in a week’s time.
