It took a while for Kieron Cadogan’s Barnet arrival to be made official didn’t it?

Plenty of talk last week was saying that he’d signed but official confirmation took that little longer to come but when it did we knew we’d signed a decent player with football league experience.

Not only that Cadogan has previously worked with Edgar Davids, when he was a player with Crystal Palace briefly a few years ago.

From that experience he knew what was expected of him from Davids and is left in little doubt that he can give this back.

Cadogan’s time with Aldershot was cut short when he left the financially stricken club in the summer, however he’d enjoyed a successful spell with them last season creating plenty of goals when he was with the Shots.

He’s looking to continue that with us, telling the official website: ‘I have got a bit of flair about me, I like to bring other players into the game and create opportunities.

‘Like all players I also like to score goals but I’m aiming to improve every aspect of my game during my time here.

‘Being around good players will only bring the best out of me and vice versa. It is hard to find a footballing side in the Conference so I think Barnet is the perfect club for me.

‘I’m still young and I’m still learning but hopefully I can keep improving, score goals, create goals and help the team win as many games as possible.’

Early signs have been impressive enough from the winger, we could do with him not only created the chances for others but also chipping in with some goals as well as this is where we’re struggling at the moment…
