The situation for Barnet is quite simple, win on the final day of the season and they stay in league two, anything else and it gets ‘complicated!’

Barnet go into the final weekend of the season knowing that the are two points ahead (on 43pts) of Hereford (who have 41pts) so a victory at Burton, who have little – but pride – to play for, will see them safe…

A draw would be enough for The Bees so long as Hereford do not win!

Should Hereford collect the three points at home to promotion chasing Torquay (a win for them could secure automatic promotion so they need to win) then anything other than a Barnet win would see them safe.

Goal difference, which is six goals in Hereford’s favour, could come into play but only if Hereford win and Barnet draw.

Basically, in a nutshell, Barnet have to win to secure survival.

Anything less and they could well go down, well that is unless Hereford also lose, which means Barnet will be safe whatever!
