Barnet’s League 2 season continued with a defeat against Wimbledon at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.

A goal in each half was enough to condemn Barnet to a two-nil defeat at Wimbledon.

Lyle Taylor (7) had Wimbledon ahead early on after a George Francomb pass.

Wimbledon could have doubled the when Michael Nelson was penalised for foul on Adebayo Azeez but Oxford loanee ‘keeper Max Crocombe saved Francomb’s penalty to retain Barnet’s hopes of getting something but in injury-time Sean Rigg (90) second sealed this as the Bees pushed up for an equaliser.

Looking at these results, and there were some incredible high scoring ones that caught the eye, but the stand out ones have to be the wins for Oxford and Northampton?

Accrington went into the weekend on the up, however Oxford had also found some form so it was two in-form sides meeting but it was the U’s that were celebrating on Saturday night following a three-one win at the Crown Ground.

The leadership in League 2 is changing constantly, Wycombe went into the weekend leading the way with Northampton one of those looking to move up into the play-offs places with it the Cobblers that got the points when they left Adam Park after a five-goal thriller with a three-two win!

Barnet are back in action this weekend with a game against Accrington at the Hive on Saturday.
