AFC Wimbledon 0-1 Barnet

Kingsmeadow

Barnet rode their luck on Easter Monday, being second best for large periods, but the record books only remember results and they picked up a vital win at AFC Wimbledon.

Having had the much better of the half, and seen Chris Hussey fail to score when he should have, Wimbledon had to be content with a scoreless first half. Barnet on the other hand would have been much happier with this!

Wimbledon thought they’d made the decisive breakthrough late on when Hussey did have the ball in the net, however his effort was ruled out after it was adjudged that there had been a foul throw in the lead up to the goal.

Barnet made the most of this fortune and snatched a late winner through substitute Keanu Marsh-Brown (85); he made the most of a mistake from Hussey to round off a disappointing day for The Dons man.

The 1-0 win for Barnet helps ease their relegation fears a little.
