Magno Vieira has signed for Conference Nationwide side Crawley Town.

The 22 year old Brazilian striker was not offered a new contract by Paul Fairclough at the end of last season thus making him available to go and talk to other clubs.

Vieira failed to make an impression in the Bees’ squad after being signed last summer and has now been snapped up by Steve Evans who also made the change in clubs from the Football League to the the newly-renamed Blue Square Premier Division.

The highest level of non-league football is probably the best place to help Vieira develop his overall game; few could deny he had that one-touch scoring boot on him at Underhill but his failure to make more of an impact in the rest of the game rather than just acting as an in-the-box forward meant he couldn’t gain a regular place in the squad and most of the time couldn’t even settle for a bench place.
