Another loan spell away from Barnet is something Ben Tomlinson was always likely to make with Martin Allen making it quite clear his future is best served away from the Hive. The forward has already had loan spells with Grimsby and Tranmere this season, upon his return from Tranmere he was swiftly made available for transfer again.

He’s now made this move with him making a temporary switch to Barrow.

Tomlinson has gone to Holker Street to join the non-league side for an initial one-month spell with it also announced by the club Justin Nwogu and Charlie Kennedy have also gone out on one-month loan deals signing for Hayes and Yeading.

All, as you would always expect, left with the clubs best wishes

That trio might not be in the Barnet plans, at the moment (if at all again in some cases) but Sam Muggleton does have a future with the club with the Bees taking up an option on his contract to keep him until the end of next season at least.

Allen told the Official Website he’s pleased with the 20-year-olds development and improvement, with clubs sniffing around, and despite him still having work to do he’s happy to keep the defender.

‘Sam has done extremely well and has made a massive improvement. He has only just turned 20-years-old. My phone doesn’t stop ringing, from clubs looking to take him on loan. He scored a hat trick last week in a reserve match, and changed the game at half time when he came on against QPR. There is still a lot for him to work on, but he is moving in the right direction.’
