A target of 50 points has been set by Edgar Davids in order for Barnet to secure their League Two status this season.

The win over Morecambe at the weekend took The Bees to 18th in the table and onto 40 points, however that’s only four points ahead of bottom of the table Plymouth.

46 points was enough to keep Barnet up last season, whereas 48 points kept them up two seasons running between 2009 and 2011 so the 50 points would represent Barnet’s best return in some five-years!

Barnet could move a step closer to safety if they can overcome Oxford tonight, however The U’s still have an outside chance of making the play offs and knocked The Bees out of the FA Cup this season with the sides drawing 2-2 in the league.

50 points is quite a target, if Barnet get this then they’ll almost certainly stay up, however can they manage this?
