Jake Hyde started the season on fire for Barnet, before he was laid low with an injury.

I don’t think it would be too much to say that our slump in form came at the same time as we’d been without our top goalscorer, so it wasn’t coincidental really was it…

Not only have the goals been difficult to come across the wins haven’t been free flowing either!

When he returned at the weekend it was a huge boost for the Bees.

Unfortunately his return to action against Welling United resulted in him suffering another injury with the extent of his ankle problem needing to be known.

It’s been confirmed that the striker will be heading for an MRI scan this afternoon so it’ll not be long until we know the full extent of this injury, and what sort of treatment will be needed to correct it.

The need for surgery, or not, will also be known but you’d imagine that if Hyde does need to have an operation on his ankle ligament problem it’ll see him sidelined for a while yet, either way we look likely to be without him for a little while…
