Barnet’s two-match winning run, which might not sound much to some but having come up from the Conference it is for the Bees, ended after a lead was lost at Plymouth in a two-one defeat.

Aaron McLean followed up his first goal for Barnet with his second, beating Plymouth ‘keeper Luke McCormick in the first half to send the Bees into the break ahead, and on course for a third win in a row!

Plymouth, who moved back into the top three and up to second, came back with second half goals from Graham Carey and a winner from Jake Jervis, his seventh of the season, to lead by the hour.

This was a lead Argyle saw through….

Martin Allen was left disappointed by the defeat after what he thought was ‘a superb performance’ with the Barnet boss, as he told the BBC, finding it ‘very frustrating not to come away with anything.’

He added ‘how we have lost that game, I’ll never know.’
