Barnet have been given a difficult away tie to Brighton & Hove Albion in the second round of the Carling Cup.

Both Barnet and Albion had been handed byes in the first round of the competition and now will face each other at the Withdean Stadium to battle it out for a place in the quater-finals.

The fixture will occur on the week proceeding 8th October, likely to be on Tuesday 9th at 7:45, with it being the regulatory time that these matches take place though this is subject to change depending on circumstances such as possible sky coverage.

Brighton have been flying high in League One with some good early season form, with 9 points from 5 games and sitting in place. They’ve won three consecutive games on the bounce, whilst the other player to shake old hands is Joe O’Cearuill who was on loan from Arsenal at Brighton last season.
