An Easter Monday win over relegation rival AFC Wimbledon gave Barnet a massive boost in there own hopes of avoiding the drop from League One.

The Bees now sit three-points ahead of the drop zone, however they’ve only managed to survive relegation on the final day in each of the past three seasons!

Edgar Davids, as he told BBC London 94.9, admitted that it was an “ugly win” but he was accepting that, as he was yet another cleansheet with his side collecting a good number of them recently in a four-game unbeaten run.

Progression is what he wants, and results bring this so he wants survival secured sooner rather than later, saying: ‘I am all about progress. In the last couple of games we didn’t play that well, and we need to work on certain aspects.

‘We just want to get the results in. We don’t want it to be last-minute.’

If survival were to occur on the final day of the season again this would be taken, however it’ll be hoped it can be secured before for once!
