The flying start that Barnet made to the season seems a long time ago now doesn’t it?

A stuttering month or so continued on Tuesday night when we struggled to break down Woking, who languish at the wrong end of the conference table.

We had to be content with a point following a 0-0 draw and there really wasn’t much between the sides.

I’m not sure if this is something to be concerned about given where we want to be and where Woking currently are?

You’ll never turn away a cleansheet will you, and Edgar Davids was happy with that even if he admits that he’d happy adopt a “we’ll score one more than you” approach.

Davids said: ‘It was a hard fought game but we kept a clean sheet. So I am happy with that and we will build on it.

‘It is important for the back four to keep a clean sheet but I don`t mind if we always score one more than the opponent.

‘But the clean sheet is something positive for us.’

The boss was pleased with the battling qualities shown again by the Bees, especially in the first half and knows that despite the league position Woking are a good footballing side so we have to make sure they were prevented from being able to do this too much.

Few chances came, and he knows his side can play better, but based on the match as a whole Davids says he was satisfied with a point…
