In what is something of a rarity for Barnet in recent times the suffered defeat at the weekend.

Laurie Sanchez, as he told BBC London 94.9, was not a happy man.

The 3-1 home defeat against Port Vale left him ‘disappointed’, although the 2nd half showing was something he gave some credit for: ‘we were disappointing in the first half and it’s always going to BE difficult after you’ve got two wins out of two.

‘We had to go out and start bright and breezy but Port Vale did that with a great opening goal.

‘At half-time we said let’s regroup and make sure we don’t give away a third goal before we start scoring. But unfortunately we gave them a third through not the best defending.’
