Lawrie Sanchez was not sure if he was ‘pleased or disappointed’ at Barnet’s 2-2 draw with Gillingham on Tuesday.

Sanchez, as he told BBC London 94.9, was obviously happy that The Bees managed to salvage a late injury-time equaliser, although he thought the chances were there for his side to have won: ‘it’s a strange one, I’m pleased we didn’t lose, but we had our chances at 1-1 to take the lead. I’m a bit confused whether I’m pleased or disappointed.’

With a bit of work on ‘certain aspects’ he is of little doubt, given the striking power Barnet have, The Bees can be a ‘decent’ side: ‘we have three forwards who are of a class above, we need to stop conceding goals now.

‘If we work on certain aspects of our game I think we can be decent.’
