Against 9-men, and at home, you would ‘expect’ to win – although this was not something that Barnet managed against Accrington on Saturday, a 0-0 draw was the outcome.

Lawrie Sanchez, as he told BBC London 94.9, was disappointed with the performance at Underhill: ‘we didn’t play well, our home fans haven’t seen the form we have produced on the road.’

With players missing, and in particular Izale McLeod, The Bees manager feels this made a big difference: ‘we didn’t create and missing a player like Izale McLeod, you can’t not miss a player of that quality, but we didn’t have that bit of zip to us today.

‘We haven’t got the biggest squad in the world and we had run out of ideas to be fair.’
