Having taken the lead against Rotherham at Underhill some might have been disappointed to see Barnet end up with a point in a 1-1 draw.

Lawrie Sanchez was happy with this point though when all was said and done.

The Bees manager hasn’t addressed the media recently but decided that it was time that he did and wanted to praise his side for the battling display they showed, with 10-men for quite a while, against Rotherham: ‘after going down to 10 men I’m happy with a point, you’ve got to give credit to the players.

‘The players stood up to be counted and that’s what we need for the rest of the season.

‘I haven’t been speaking to the press because I don’t want them reading me having a go at them. But the players coped well with everything Rotherham threw at us, apart from the one cross that led to Pringle’s goal.’
