Portsmouth were not too long ago a premier league side, Barnet on the other hand were almost a non-league side again, this counted for nothing on Tuesday night though!

Barnet caused a Carling Cup upset by knocking out the championship side at Fratton Park.

A goal from Hughes (30) was enough to secure a 1-0 win for Barnet and earn them a place in the next round of the league cup.

The Bees now await their 2nd round opponents.
