Result: Barnet 1-1 Bristol Rovers

Barnet put a miserable start to the season behind them, with heavy league cup and league two defeats, by picking up a draw against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.

Rovers were welcomed to Underhill but Ricky Holmes’ (9) early goal wasn’t very “welcoming” and this goal was enough to see Barnet go into half time one-nil up.

The Bees finally succumbed when Matt Harrold (55) forced a Bristol Rovers equaliser early in the second half.

A point would have been none had it not been for Liam O’Brien, who ensured the game ended 1-1.

It’ll be slightly disappointing that Barnet couldn’t have held on to secure a win but a point at least gets them off the mark.

Afterall had it not been for O’Brien’s saves it would have been another defeat!
