Barnet have boosted their ranks, as they look to stave off relegation, with the signing of Scott McGleish from Bristol Rovers.

Veteran striker McGleish returns to The Bees having previously made 138 appearances for the club with him scoring 37 goals

Mark McGhee, as he told his official Bristol Rovers website, has explained his exit: ‘the thinking behind it is, to be fair to him, he has not been involved and is out of contract in the summer.

‘He is a London lad and comes from round that way, so it is an opportunity.’

38-year-old McGleish has joined for an initial one-month period.
