If you score 50-goals at any level you’ll attract attention wont you!

With that in mind it’s hardly surprising, having done this for the Barnet U18 side last season, Matt Stevens is attracting Premier League interest with ESPN reporting both Manchester clubs, United and City, are looking at Stevens as a potential ‘prospect for the future.’

They say sources tell them Man United and Man City are both in for Stevens? The Bees’ former Reading striker has scouts watching him all the time with Swansea and Crystal Palace bidding already, offers which were turned down.

It’s going to be a struggle for Barnet to keep the 17-year-old at the Hive, definitely so if the Manchester sides are among those from the Premier League ‘keeping tabs’ on him as has been claimed.

Stevens is destined for big things however his development in the game could be benefited from another year or two under Martin Allen with the Bees, if this happens remains to be seen….
