Martin Allen has recently told the Official Website he’s unsure as to when Gary Waddock will be able to take up his assistant manager duties with Barnet having been taken ill recently.

Former QPR, Aldershot and Oxford boss Waddock returned to the Bees recently, to act as Allen’s assistant, however he was taken ill on his return against Bristol Rovers.

That caused him to go into hospital and miss the Wolves defeat in the League Cup, and saw Allen commenting the following ahead of the draw with Cambridge at the weekend, which he also missed.

‘To let everybody know; immediately after the game in Bristol last week he was taken ill on the team coach.

‘We took him to a hospital in Reading and he was seriously ill – he couldn’t walk, talk, eat or drink.

‘He was in a bad way and we were all very worried about his condition, and he spent three nights in hospital.’

Allen went onto say that he was given the ‘all-clear on Wednesday morning’ with him having ‘an inner ear infection.’

Out of hospital now it’ll be a while before he’s working alongside Allen again it seems, having come in to replace the recently departed Adrian Whitbread, who took up and oversees position.

The boss added.

‘I don’t know how long he’ll need for rehab and to get the strength in his body back.

‘We have taken him on, but I’m not sure how long it’s going to be before he can continue after his illness.’

The main priority is that Waddock gets himself right, the rest will take care of itself.

Also on the Official Website it has been confirmed Shane Cojocarel will spend month on loan with Billericay.

A brief statement confirming this read.

‘Barnet Football Club midfielder Shane Cojocarel has joined Billericay Town on a one month loan.

‘The Essex side play at New Lodge, in the Ryman Premier Division.’

This is a move that makes sense as it gives Cojocarel the first-team football he isn’t getting with Barnet at the moment.
