Barnet’s League 2 season continued with a win against Crawley at the Hive on Saturday.

A first win in six-matches was something Barnet were on the way to with a double either side of half time from Bira Dembele with Mitch Hancox and Jimmy Smith scoring twice in three-minutes late on to get Crawley back into the game.

John Akinde’s penalty and a Lewis Young own goal, another two-goals in two-minutes rounded off the win four-two win.

Saturday 19th December 2015
Barnet 4-2 Crawley
Cambridge 1-1 Mansfield
Carlisle 3-0 Notts County
Dag & Red 0-3 Bristol Rovers
Exeter 2-3 Luton

Newport 2-2 Wimbledon
Northampton 1-2 Portsmouth
Stevenage 1-1 Accrington

York 2-1 Morecambe

Carlisle and Notts County faced each other, which wasn’t anything unusual, but this game was played at Preston’s Deepdale due to the flooding in Cumbria with the ‘home’ away team winning three-nil to send the 3,000 plus fans home happy!

League leaders Northampton were beaten by Portsmouth, who came from behind to run out two-one victors over the Cobblers at Sixfields so they lost the lead.

With Plymouth winning two-one at Hartlepool and Oxford beating two-one at Wycombe the Pilgrims returned to the top of the table at Christmas but only three-points separate the top four, with Pompey in this fourth place.

At the other end of the table struggling York recorded an important win when the Minstermen had some Christmas joy to beat Morecambe two-one at Bootham Crescent.

Barnet are back in action at the weekend with Newport visiting.
