Barnet’s League 2 season continued with a win against Bristol Rovers at the Hive on Saturday.

A first win of the New Year was secured by Barnet with an early Gavin Hoyte, who was removed from the transfer-list prior to this game, goal enough for a one-nil win against promotion chasing Bristol Rovers.

Despite losing Andy Yiadom to a red card in the second half the Bees saw out the one-nil win.

These were the other results.

Saturday 9th January 2016
Accrington P-P Notts County
Barnet 1-0 Bristol Rovers
Crawley 1-0 Cambridge
Mansfield 2-1 Stevenage

A very much limited schedule, due to continued FA Cup involvement for some and the postponement of another game, left only three-matches played in League 2 this weekend.

The battles for promotion were most impacted on with Bristol Rovers seeing their bid damaged by a one-nil defeat at Barnet (as we know) whereas Mansfield revived their hopes with a two-one win against Stevenage.

Barnet are back in action at the weekend with Carlisle the visitors.
