Barnet received some pre-Christmas cheer with a crucial win over Burton at Underhill on Friday night.

A Burton penalty from Billy Kee (16) saw the visitors take the lead, against the run of play Barnet went into the break level though when Ricky Holmes (42) scored.

Early in the second half The Bees took the lead when Homes (53) struck again, this time from the spot. A hat-trick was completed when Holmes (66) struck again at the midway point of the second half to further extend the lead.

In injury-time Jacques Maghoma (90+5) converted from the spot for The Brewers but it was just a consolation with The Bees winning 3-2 to climb out of the relegation zone.
