Lee Harrison has injured his hamstring and will be out of action for another week or so.
Harrison follows James Cole in hurting his hamstring and will now miss Barnet’s centenary celebratory friendly against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The newly appointed skipper is expected to return to training within a fortnight, however, just like Cole who made his comeback from the early season injury in the Farnborough game on Tuesday.
It sets up West Ham trialist David Blackmore to have more time to impress Paul Fairclough ahead of the fast approaching season despite so far failing to show any real promise in the views of fans, having conceded four of the five goals in the Farnborough friendly and one against Arsenal. The 19 year old is going to get competition from other another trialist goalkeeper who will also get a chance to play on Saturday, says Fairclough, as he looks to find Harrison’s understudy for the season.
