Lee Harrison is facing a race against time as he bids to get fit for the start of the season.

Harrison is still out on the sidelines due to his hamstring injury despite the management team hoping he would be fit to play some part in the pre-season friendly at Histon today.

Harrison will return to training in midweek, just a few days before Barnet kick-off the campaign at Morecambe later on in the week on Saturday and he will have to work hard to get some practice in and regain his fitness, whilst being careful not to aggravate the his hamstring, and will be hoping he can return to skipper the Bees at Christie Park.

Meanwhile his absence is another’s gain; Robert Beckwith will be allowed yet another game to prove himself to Paul Fairclough that he is the right man to be understudy to Harrison this season.
