AFC Wimbledon have taken Giuliano Grazioli on loan so he can get some match action under his belt.

Ths goalscorer has been unable to make any appearances so far this season; Adam Birchall and Anthony Thomas remaining up front regularly despite only one goal between them, but now following his summer surgery and his return to training in the last fortnight or so, he has joined AFC Wimbledon.

The once Premier league side now play football in the Ryman Premier Division, three leagues below Barnet.

Paul Fairclough told the club’s website ‘that it is vital for the best interest of the team for him to get some games and then get back into the Barnet side scoring goals’ as Graz aims to get back to the sharpness that saw him take the Conference Golden Boot three years ago.

The loan deal will keep Graz at the The Cherry Red Records Fans’ Stadium for a month – until 13 October.

New boss Terry Brown told Wimbledon’s website he was delighted with the aquisition of such a predator in the box. ‘Over the last few days we have been looking for a goalscorer to give us an edge and there are few with a better track record than Graz,’ he said.
