Jake Hyde might have handed in a transfer request, however as yet he’s failed to secure himself a move elsewhere.

14-goals in League Two last season weren’t enough to keep Barnet in the Football League but it’s something that Hyde himself is keen to do, as yet though the Bees’ valuation hasn’t been met from clubs believed to be interested in the striker.

Assistant manager Ulrich Landvreugd feels that Hyde will at least start the season with the club and has responded to questions as to the club wanting to keep him, he said: ‘Yes, of course.

‘He did well for us last season. He has good qualities. If he is leaving, there are opportunities for others. I think Hyde will be with us for the beginning of the season.’

Hyde would make a big difference to Barnet, but should a suitable offer come in it’ll be accepted and someone else will be given a chance.
