The next stop of Barnet’s conference tour, which they’ll be hoping lasts just the one-year, took them to Gateshead on Saturday afternoon.

Colin Larkin (32), against the run of play it is said, opened the scoring for Gateshead but within minutes Keanu Marsh-Brown (37) burst free to level for the Bees and ensure the sides were level at the break.

Marsh-Brown looked the man most likely to breakthrough in the second half, but missed one chance while having another blocked.

Jake Hyde headed Barnet into the lead, well that is what he thought anyway but the flag was raised for offside so this was ruled out…

It was looking like another Barnet draw, following a midweek draw, but Hyde (88) didn’t have his late effort chalked off as the Bees came from behind to win 2-1.
