Barnet have signed 19 year old forward Luke Medley after the youngster rejected an offer of a new contract from Bradford City.

Medley is no stranger to the Bees having played for our PROTEC team in the Herts Senior Cup. After PROTEC he joined Tottenham Hotspur before moving up north to play for Bradford City. However, he made just one start and 8 appearances as a substitute in his time at the Valley Parade.

The youngster started well at City, scoring on his professional debut with a wonder volley with his first touch. Things went downhill for him from there and a lack of first team opportunities sent him on loan to Cambridge City where he struggled to break into the team.

Bradford City fans seem to have mixed opinions about the news of his departure – some think he wasn’t given a fair crack up north, some think he wasn’t good enough. The Bees faithful will be hoping he can do the business at Underhill.
