Paul Fairclough has been given £10,000 to add to his transfer kitty thanks to loyal Barnet supporter Richard Evans.

Season ticket holder Dr. Evans, was given the a few minutes play in a black and amber shirt as the Bees lost 2-0 to Arsenal thanks to a £10,000 contribution from his wife, Lesley.

Evans, who had a trial with Chelsea as a youth, got his chance to fulfill his dream of being ‘on the bench for a quality team against a quality team,’ and he got to play against the Gunners when he replaced Max Porter in the 88th minute, wearing the number 28 shirt.

And Paul Fairclough thanked Evans for his generous donation to Barnet, telling him that the money could help the club to secure another player for next season.

Evans’ apperance on the pitch entertained the 5,091 supporters at Underhill on Saturday as he took his place in the middle of the park.
