Paul Fairclough called Barnet’s display against QPR as ‘one of the best performances I have seen since I became the manager of Barnet.’

The Bees beat the Hoops thanks to goals from Liam Hatch and Jason Puncheon and the team included trialists David Blackmore and John Glele in it too.

It was Barnet who were the first to conceded in this behind-the-scenes friendly at the Queens Park Rangers’ training ground but Fairclough told the Barnet website his side were ‘fantastic’ and that the determination they showed would put them in good stead for the season ahead.

‘That is the sign of a group of players that refuses to be beaten.’
