Barry Cogan has also made the switch to League One side Gillingham.

The ex-Bees midfielder was released at the end of last season, reportedly because of wage disagreements, and has followed in the footsteps of Simon King in making the move to the Gills in the league above Barnet.

The 22-year-old was a regular winger in the squad last season and fans felt that he should have been offered a new contract, although apparantly Paul Fairclough felt differently as he looks to revamp he squad with new faces all over the park.

Cogan will be remembered by Barnet fans for the spectacular away goal he scored at Hartlepool to give the Bees all three points as he picked the ball up on the half-way line, ran to the corner of the box and smashed the ball into the top opposite corner of the net. In fact all three of Cogan’s goals have come away from Underhill.
