Barnet take the relatively short journey down to Brighton for tonight’s Carling Cup first round tie.
Brighton manager Micky Adams: ‘We’ve had them watched and they’re a decent outfit. They’ve got a bit of strength and depth and they’ve got players who on their day, if you let them, can punish you. We have to give them as much respect as we possibly can, but try and remind them that we are the fancied team to go through.’

Carew is fit to play for the Bees and Rob Beckwith may start after recovering from a groin injury that has ruined his pre-season. Summer signing Nicky Deverdics misses out with a hernia injury.
Albert Adomah has caused a problem for many teams since his arrival in January and when the Bees win, he is never far from the action.
Last time the two teams met was last season in the JP Trophy which was eventually won by the MK Dons.
On this occasion, Brighton won 2-1 and Adam Birchall was the scorer for the Bees.
The Bees normally do well in the Carling Cup and have claimed a number of scalps in the past including Cardiff City, Plymouth Argyle and Bristol City. However the Bees had a disappointing start with a 3-1 defeat and Brighton will have the momentum after winning on Saturday.
PREDICTION: Brighton 2 – 0 Barnet
Football League Two: Rochdale (A) 3.00pm.
