Barnet FC have revealed they are toughening up discline at at the club following their poor behaviour in the last two seasons.

Barnet have been fined by the FA for the last two summers running for ending up in the ref’s book too often and currently have a £5000 fine hanging over them in they do not improve sufficiently this season.

The regulations at Underhill have meant Bishop, who was shown a straight red at Norwich on Tuesday, has been given a ‘heavy salary fine’ and this has served as a warning to any other players who get the marching orders from the ref again this season.

‘the club announced that a new set of rules had already been agreed,’ a club statement read on their website. ‘Heavier fines for suspensions, misconduct and dissent. In future, fines for the collective actions of the playing staff will be shared between all professionals in the squad at the time.’

The Bees have already picked up one red and four yellow cards this season, having only played two matches.
