Barnet will be playing live on sky away at Dagenham & Redbridge.

The Conference champions of last season will take on the Bees on Saturday September 8th, and the game has been moved forward to a 12:15 PM kick off. Only clubs in League One and below will be playing on that day, and games will be moved to the Sunday, Friday or different kickoff time on Saturday due to England’s home Euro 2008 qualifier against Israel at Wembley Stadium.

Despite a historic run in the FA Cup last season, and a third-round tie in the Carling Cup against Manchester United in the 2005/06 season, Barnet have not featured on sky for almost 2 years – the last time was at 1-1 draw away to Stockport County early on in their return to the Football League, and now the Daggers find themselves in a similar situation.

In the Bees’ Conference-winning season, their tie against the Daggers was shown from Underhill live on sky, and Barnet thrashed their visitors 5-0. The highlight of the match came from ex-Bee Nicky Bailey who hit a superb free-kick 30+ yards out which bent and curled into the net. That goal was the Conference goal of the season.

Barnet have many connections with their London rivals, including former manager John Still managing at Victoria Road as well as former players Paolo Vernazza, Ben Strevens playing under Still. They also signed recently released Richard Graham.
