Where was Edgar Davids on Saturday?

Not even the chairman knew, with him suspended he couldn’t play and with him having a bit of an injury too the last he knew he was back in Holland undergoing treatment!

It’s a bizarre setup isn’t it and quite who is running the show is often debatable, but quite clearly Ulrich Landvreugd oversaw our FA cup fourth qualifying win over Concord Rangers on Saturday afternoon at the Hive.

We got the job done, getting through the initial difficult phase of the game before securing the 3-0 win.

Landvreugd knows we could do better but was left happy enough, he said: ‘I was happy with the performance.

‘The first 15 minutes was hard, of course it was a cup game and a different pressure to a normal game. You have to come through the first 15, 20 minutes, it wasn’t too hard but still you have to do it.

‘There were some sloppy mistakes also but after those minutes we got some space and created a few opportunities and two of them we scored.’

The scorer of two of the goals was Dani Lopez, he opened his account for the first time since his loan return to the club.

Could he have scored more? Definitely as he missed some chances either side of his first goal.

The striker has been praised but has also been challenged to step it up a gear, he added: ‘I think he could do better.

‘He finished very well the last half-an-hour but there were also some sloppy passes and also some genius passes but the effort must be higher; there are more good passes than worst passes. But at the end he was very attractive to see, his skills and his shooting on goal.’
