Barnet managed to successfully fend off interest from a higher league club in Mark Marshall before the transfer window closed on Wednesday.

An offer was made by Charlton although Lawrie Sanchez was far from happy with this, he did leave the door open for a move if the deal was right – although this did not materialise: (the offer was) far from what he is worth.

‘If the right opportunity for a move comes in we’ll consider it.’

The 24-year-old winger will now stay with The Bees until January, at least.
