In a busy close to the emergency loan window Barnet made three signings, two loans and one brought in as a free agent.

Stevenage defender Andy Iro and Brighton striker George Barker have come in on loan with free agent Dutch winger Melvin Holwijn signing on “non contract terms” in a short-term deal.

Mark Robson, as he told the official website, was delighted to bring in these players: ‘We’re delighted to have got Andy in on loan to further strengthen our defensive line.

‘George potentially has a lot to offer us. We hope he’ll get the opportunity to show his qualities and to give us another option up front.’

This busy day of transfer activity at Underhill on Thursday definitely increased the options to the management team, which were slightly limited.
