Barnet 1-0 Wycombe

Underhill

Barnet ended 106-years of football at Underhill with a victory, and the win over Wycombe leaves their relegation fate now in their own hands.

Following a 15-minute delay to kick off, when the game got underway it was Barnet that looked the more threatening with Jake Hyde going close with one effort and being denied by Wycombe keeper Matt Ingram with another while a long range Curtis Weston effort was not far away.

Second half chances went awry for The Bees before Hyde (81) scored a massive goal to give Barnet the lead late on.

With victory on for Barnet a late Tom Flanagan foul gave Wycombe the chance to level, however Graham Stack was the hero as he turned Joel Grant’s penalty away to ensure The Bees ran out 1-0 winner to pick up a priceless three-points to move out of the League Two relegation zone going into the final game next weekend.
