We’ve seen Barnet have a few issues with ‘keepers this season, injuries and suspensions haven’t helped, but Martin Allen has moved into the transfer market once again to bring in another option.

The Official Website has confirmed the arrival of Raven Constable.

Constable has been training with Barnet during a trial period recently and he’s done enough to convince Allen he’s worthy of a contract, which has been signed to see him become a Bees player.

What the length of this deal is wasn’t actually specified? But this would be, at least, until January you would suspect and quite possible until the end of the season at first for the 21-year-old who had been a free agent.

The Kingston-born Jamaican ‘keeper has received international clearance so he, with him handed the squad no.30, is free to make his instant debut and could be in the squad at the weekend.

He’ll compete with Jamie Stephens and Kai McKenzie-Lyle for a first-team place, at this stage Stephens for the no.1 spot and all will, of course, battle with player-coach Graham Stack once he’s fully fit, however this is still several months away.
