Barnet 0-1 Aldershot

Underhill

It wasn’t the start to the year that Barnet would have been hoping for; their unbeaten run was ended as they went down to Aldershot at Underhill on Tuesday.

Both sides had chances in the opening half, but with none taken the half ended scoreless.

Minutes after the restart it was Aldershot that had the chance to open the scoring when they were awarded a penalty. Craig Reid (48) made no mistake to open the scoring. Almost immediately The Bees were reduced to 10-men when Jon Nurse was shown a straight red card.

Barnet thought they had managed to snatch an equaliser but a Jake Hyde effort was ruled out through offside so they slipped to a 1-0 loss.
