A comfortable 3-0 victory for Barnet at Underhill on Saturday over Bury saw the Bees leapfrog their League Two rivals.

Bury were punished for missing a series of chances in the opening 50 minutes of the match when Adam Birchall (57) put the home side ahead. Birchall added his second 13 minutes later to double the lead and was denied a hat-trick only by Jim Provett, who made a fine save but Cliff Akurang (84) was on hand to seal the victory.

The win took Barnet up to 14th place in League Two, one place and 2 points ahead of Bury.
