The Bees V Imps fixture at Underhill should be one for the diary of all neutrals boasting 28 goals in 6 games, er make that 33 in seven as this one did not disappoint.

Barnet boss Ian Hendon who sounds like a local lad, will rightly hail this as a thrilling win that secures another season in the Football League for one of its poorer relations. It is triumphs like this that make the league the institution that it is, as opposed to the pyramid and brand that those who fail to share have created. Peter Jackson and his exciting Imps will see this differently as defensive disaster capped a capital catastrophe. For the 339 vociferous souls from Lincolnshire it was a case of another win went west, as the Imps full backs gifted three goals to a Barnet side that can now wave goodbye to relegation fears. In conclusion football at this level fought another successful battle as an entertainment spectacle in its war for its very survival.
