Barnet were knocked out of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy on Tuesday when they lost at Underhill against Southend.

Paterson (22) gave Southend a half time lead and early in the 2nd half Paterson (55) added his second to leave the visitors in control.

Barnet pulled one back through Marshall (79) although the game was put beyond the hosts with 5 minutes remaining when Soares (85) secured the victory.
